Job summary

Uniting Airlie Preschool (Oatlands) is a friendly Not for Profit preschool for 3-5 year-olds, operating 8:30am–4pm, Monday to Friday in school terms. We seek a Certificate III Educator to support learning outcomes under the National Quality Standards.

You will build relationships, facilitate play-based learning, and document progress while upholding Uniting’s values of compassion and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education completed.
• Strong communication with colleagues, families and community.
• Experience documenting learning through observations and assessments.

About The Service

Uniting Airlie Preschool (Oatlands) is friendly community Not for Profit Preschool, caring for children aged 3-5 years. Our preschool services operate between the time of 8:30am and 4pm, Monday to Friday during the Department of Education’s school terms.

What You’ll Be Doing In This Role

As a Certificate III Qualified Educator, you’ll provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework!

Your Work May Include

• Developing positive relationships that support children, their families and community.
• Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
• Documenting children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes

Who We’re Looking For

• Must have completed a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, with previous working with children
• Be passionate about working with children of all ages.
• A work history that demonstrates, programming, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework (National Standard)
• Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members
• You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
