Job summary

G8 Education is seeking a casual Assistant Educator to join McKenzie Street Children’s Centre in Victoria. You’ll help create engaging indoor and outdoor learning experiences for children aged 0–5, supporting qualified staff and shaping a nurturing classroom environment.

The centre operates from 6:30am to 6:30pm, offering flexible hours and strong team support. Holding a ACECQA approved Certificate III or Diploma, you’ll bring EYLF/NQS understanding, great communication, WWC checks, and First

Qualifications

• Hold ACECQA approved Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services.
• Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
• Experience in an Early childhood service (0–5 years).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A current Working with Children Check.
• First Aid certificate.

Our children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and a range of activities.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 70children with operating hours from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

About You

• Hold a minimum ACECQA approved Certificate III or Diploma Qualification in Children’s Services
• An understanding of both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Proven sector experience within an Early childhood service (working with children 0-5 years)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A current Working with Children Check
• First Aid certificate
