Job summary

Pelicans in the City Centre One, operated by G8 Education Ltd, is seeking a Casual Assistant Educator to join our team of qualified early childhood professionals. You will support experienced educators to nurture and guide children, contribute to program delivery, and help maintain a safe, engaging learning environment.

The role offers flexibility, opportunities for professional development through Wonder.LAB, and access to our network of 400+ centres.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with children aged 0–5 years.
• Ability to work as part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified educators to deliver age-appropriate learning activities for 0–5 years.
• Support daily routines, supervision, and safety of children.
• Maintain a caring and stimulating learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and team.

About Us

Our children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and a range of activities.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 88 children with operating hours from 6:30am to 6:00pm.

About You

• Hold a minimum ACECQA approved Certificate III or Diploma Qualification in Children's Services
• An understanding of both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Proven sector experience within an Early childhood service (working with children 0-5 years)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A current Working with Children Check
• First Aid certificate
