YMCA Queensland is seeking an Educational Leader for the OSHC team at The Gap on a permanent part-time basis. You will lead inspiring, play-based programs that support children’s development and guide a team of educators to deliver high-quality care.

You will partner with families and schools to build a supportive network, ensure compliance, and foster an inclusive, collaborative culture. Diploma in Children’s Services is desirable, with a focus on leadership and continuous improvement.

Formación

• Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent (desirable).
• Minimum three years’ experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others.
• Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).

About the role

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic Educational Leader to join our YMCA The Gap Outside School Hours Care team on a permanent part time basis.

In this role, you’ll help shape fun, engaging programs that support children’s learning and development outside of school hours. You’ll guide and support a team of educators, bring creative ideas to life, and make sure every child feels safe, supported, and included.

What you’ll bring

• A Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent (desirable)
• Minimum three years’ experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting
• Comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others
• Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comprehensive working knowledge of child development, attachment, learning
• A demonstrated understanding of evidence-based best practice approaches to teaching and learning
• Working knowledge of leadership theory and the use of a range of leadership styles
• Well-developed critical thinking skills, including the ability to analyse and challenge conventional practice and ideas
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
