Job summary

Journey Early Learning Kawana is seeking an Educational Leader to guide curriculum development, mentor educators and drive quality practice across our 151-place centre with six playgrounds. You’ll lead engaging educational programs and support continuous improvement in alignment with EYLF and NQS.

• Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-approved equivalent.
• Experience as Educational Leader, Lead Educator or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS and curriculum development.
• Confidence mentoring educators and supporting reflective practice.
• Experience contributing to quality improvement processes.

About the Role

As our Educational Leader, you’ll guide curriculum development, strengthen pedagogical practice and support continuous improvement across the centre.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the development and delivery of engaging educational programs.
• Mentoring educators and supporting their professional growth.
• Promoting reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Supporting alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS).
• Contributing to the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

About You

You’re a passionate early childhood professional who enjoys sharing knowledge, supporting educators and driving quality educational practice.

You’ll bring:

• A Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent.
• Experience as an Educational Leader, Lead Educator or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and curriculum development.
• Confidence mentoring educators and supporting reflective practice.
• Experience contributing to quality improvement processes.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine passion for children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
• A current Blue Card or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, as required.
• National Child Safety (Foundation Module) training, or willingness to complete it.
