Job summary

Department of Education in Western Australia is establishing a pool of Education Support Teachers for permanent and fixed-term vacancies that may arise during the 2027 school year, including full-time and part-time roles. South Bunbury ESC and College Row School aim to support students with intellectual disability or autism through individualized programs and explicit teaching strategies.

Qualifications

• Hold eligible teacher qualification and registration.
• Be Australian or NZ citizen, permanent resident or have valid visa with work rights for term of appointment.
• Apply for WA Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check before start.

Responsibilities

• Assess students using an integrated curriculum and differentiating to meet individual needs.
• Support and supervise Education Assistants to create a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with families, therapists and external agencies to improve student outcomes.
• Contribute to collaborative team planning and professional learning.
