Job summary

TAFE NSW in Kempsey seeks an Education Support Officer to assist Automotive teachers and engage learners in related courses. You will apply industry knowledge to enhance the learning environment and provide follow-up instruction and practice opportunities to students.

The role is a temporary part-time position (28 hours per week) until 12 July 2027, with a total package of AUD 96,098 including superannuation and leave loading, pro-rated.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Automotive or Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology.
• Demonstrated strong administrative skills and experience.
• High-level interpersonal and communication skills, proactive with initiative.

Responsibilities

About the role

As an Education Support Officer, you will support teachers and build engagement with learners studying Automotive courses. You will have the opportunity to apply your on-the-job knowledge and industry specific qualification to create a positive learning environment.You will supplement the teaching activities by providing follow-up instruction as provided by a teacher and opportunities to practice skills to enhance students educative experience and engagement.

About You

• Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and hold a Certificate III of Light Vehicle Automotive or Certificate III Automotive Electrical Technology.
• Have demonstrated strong administrative skills, and experience.
• Have high-level interpersonal and communication skills, including your ability to be proactive and show initiative.
