Job summary

Mildura Senior College is seeking an Education Support role to assist students and teachers in the Wellbeing/learning programs. The role requires working under supervision within school policies and contributing to a positive learning environment.

You will support routines, prepare resources, communicate with families, and help manage student wellbeing and behaviour under the direction of teaching staff. The position is based at Mildura Senior College in north-west Victoria.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with learning and wellbeing, including some self-regulation strategies.
• Strong communication with students, staff and parents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for data entry and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in groups in learning activities as directed by teachers.
• Support communication between students and teachers, following instructions.
• Prepare teaching resources, equipment and routines for lessons.
• Set up and put away equipment and materials for teaching programs.
• Assist teachers with communication with parents about routine matters.
• Provide basic physical care and wellbeing support for students.
• Address immediate behavioural presentations in classroom settings per school policy.
• Complete Compass chronicles and incident reports, maintaining a running record.
• Provide supervision for small groups of students in class.
