Job summary

Churchill North Primary School in Churchill, VIC is seeking an Education Support Class staff member to assist teachers, coordinate classroom tasks, and support student wellbeing.

You will work five days per week, collaborate with teaching staff, and engage with families to promote positive student outcomes while supporting specialised communication needs such as AUSLAN and braille where required. Experience in whole-school activities and programs will be valued.

• Demonstrated capacity to coordinate and support others.

• Strong communication with teachers, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine support for teachers including planning of student routines.
• Supports communication between teachers and parents.
• Provides basic physical care and wellbeing support for students.
• Co-ordinates other education support staff and rostering.
• Assists teachers with educational programs and supervision of students.
• Provides specialised communication support such as AUSLAN and braille.
