Job summary

Catholic Education Ballarat - Ballarat Office is seeking an Education Officer to enhance Catholic identity across schools. You will design and implement Catholic identity frameworks, develop RE curriculum resources and lead formation programs for educators.

The role works with leaders to embed dialogue, theology and inquiry in RE and contribute to Strategy 2035. You will collaborate across the Diocese, with a focus on mission integration, professional learning and data-informed school

Qualifications

• Must have deep understanding of Catholic theology and mission of Catholic education.
• Expertise in Religious Education curricula and contemporary pedagogy.
• Experience leading dialogical and inquiry-based learning approaches.
• Experience in designing, implementing and evaluating RE curricula.
• Familiarity with Catholic identity frameworks and ECSI evidence.
• Experience developing formation programs, resources and professional learning.
• Strong collaboration, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to design and implement organisational frameworks for growth.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking with ability to translate complex data into action.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 for collaboration, resource development and data viz.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and refine diocesan Catholic Identity frameworks.
• Design RE curriculum resources aligned with modern educational practice.
• Assist in Formation for Mission programs and learning opportunities.
• Support accreditation pathways for educators and leaders.
• Create professional learning resources and implementation tools.
• Analyse Catholic identity data (ECSI and others) to inform improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to embed dialogue, theology and inquiry in RE.
• Contribute to DOBCEL Strategy 2035 initiatives.
