Carnarvon Community College is creating a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants to support permanent and fixed-term vacancies across the 2027 school year, with full-time and part-time roles.
Successful applicants will assist teaching staff with planned education programs, promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment, and help with the health and wellbeing of students. They will provide feedback on education and therapy programs and work with both Primary and Secondary students.

Suitable applicants will assist teaching staff throughout the college in the delivery of planned education programs and in promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment. They possess the ability to assist with the general health and wellbeing of students. Successful applicants will provide feedback when required on education and therapy programs and participate in the evaluation process relating to student progress. Suitable applicants will be engaged to work with both Primary and Secondary students.
Suitable applicants will display strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. They will be compassionate and able to work collaboratively to implement documented plans.
Suitable applicants are committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole school processes and are collegial, effective collaborators. They demonstrate the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students and teachers. They have strong knowledge of a range of evidence‑based techniques for learning and behaviour and have some experience or knowledge of disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder
