As a Mainstream Education Assistant, suitable applicants will assist teachers in delivering planned education programs and supporting a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students. Under teacher direction, they will assist in the delivery of planned education programs, including the operation of technology, and implement individual or small group programs. They will also assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials and resources for use in classes, displays and demonstrations, and assisting teachers with the clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities. Suitable applicants will assist teachers with the care and supervision of students during out-of-class activities and school excursions. The role also involves assisting with the general care and wellbeing of students, including attending to students with minor illnesses and administering minor first aid where required.
