Job Description: Experts in workplace health, injury management, and safety, Acumen Health delivers high-standard services across personal injury and occupational health. Our team focuses on recovery and function to help clients return to work and life, regardless of their age or situation. We provide services through federal and state Workers Compensation, Motor Accident Schemes, and Life Insurance. Acumen Health is Australia's exclusive provider of Occupational Rehabilitation services to the Australian Defence Force.

As an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant, you will apply clinical reasoning skills to support ADF personnel with physical and/or psychological injuries. This unique role offers meaningful and purposeful rewards. Be part of a team that keeps our military fit and ready to defend Australia.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Taking a holistic care approach within a multidisciplinary team to support rehabilitation from injury to healing.
  2. Conducting assessments such as functional capacity evaluations, ergonomic, or activities of daily living assessments depending on your expertise.
  3. Collaborating with stakeholders including injured employees, medical specialists, treatment providers, and allied health professionals.
  4. Developing, implementing, and monitoring rehabilitation plans.

Working hours are from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm at HMAS Albatross, with options for part-time or hybrid arrangements for flexibility. Requirements to be successful:

  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with relevant industry bodies (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA, AASW).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy, or Social Work.
  • Australian Citizenship.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and ability to engage with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Passion for helping people rehabilitate.
  • Occupational rehabilitation experience is highly regarded.
