The Mental Health Inpatient Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an ECT Coordinator (Clinical Nurse) to join their team on a permanent basis. For application procedures and mandatory requirements, please refer to the attached Role Description.
The purpose of this position is to ensure effective coordination and facilitation of Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) services, as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include ensuring national standard audits are completed correctly, rectifying red flag reports on time, and collaborating with NUM/CNC to send reports back to MHHS Quality and Safety promptly.
The Mental Health Inpatient Unit provides care to individuals experiencing an acute episode of mental illness. Admission often indicates that their condition cannot be managed in less restrictive settings, such as community-based support.
