Job summary

anzuk Education is partnering with a highly regarded Early Childhood service in Central Canberra to recruit an Infants Lead Teacher. The role focuses on developing and delivering high quality programming for the Infants age group while mentoring your team.

You will join a centre designed for exploration with regular excursions, weekly PD sessions, and opportunities for growth within a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required or ACECQA assessed equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Australian early childhood settings.
• Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis and CPR certifications.
• WWVP clearance.
• GECCKO child protection training essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high quality programming for infants (0–2) and guide the room team.
• Mentor and support Lead Teacher colleagues through collegial collaboration.
• Attend weekly PD sessions and collaborate with other Lead Teachers.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, child-safe environment.

Education

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA assessed equivalent)

3+ years experience in Australian Early Childhood settings

The Service

This stunning centre in Central Canberra is privately owned and operated by local families who have their community at the heart of the service.
Carefully designed and purpose built, the centre has an abundance of indoor and outdoor space for the children to explore.
With dedicated outdoor and intergenerational programmes, the children spend regular time out on excursions exploring nature and connecting with their community.

The Opportunity

The opportunity for an experienced ECT Lead Teacher to start either now or in 2027 has become available.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering high quality programming for the Infants age group, whilst mentoring and guiding the team in your room.
Each week you will spend a day out of the classroom collaborating with the other Lead Teachers and receiving PD sessions with one of Early Childhood’s industry leaders.

The Ideal Teacher

The perfect candidate for this role will have previous experience in a Lead Teacher position.

In addition, you will have an in depth knowledge of the EYLF and NQS, and a passion for working with children aged 0-5:

• Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA assessed equivalent)
• 3+ years experience in Australian Early Childhood settings
