Job summary

CommBank is seeking an ECR Risk Assurance Lead to shape the assurance strategy for Financial Crime, Scams and Fraud, partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver robust control testing and effective risk management across the bank.

The role focuses on second-line assurances, regulatory reform programs, and building a data-enabled approach to enhance coverage and insights for leadership and governance forums.

Qualifications

• Experience leading assurance, risk oversight, audit or controls in a large, regulated organisation.
• Strong understanding of Financial Crime, AML/CTF and related controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver end-to-end assurance across Financial Crime, Scams and Fraud.
• Provide second-line review and challenge of risk and control environments.
• Lead assurance reviews over key financial crime controls, including design and operating effectiveness.
• Partner with the Group on regulatory reform programs and data-enabled assurance initiatives.
• Provide insights to leadership on assurance coverage and governance.
