Job description

**About the role**We're looking for an ECDD Analyst to join our Financial Crime Operations team and play an important role in helping BOQ Group manage financial crime risk and meet our regulatory obligations. This is a great permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys investigative work, analysing information, solving problems and working with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes. Working within the Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) team, you'll manage a portfolio of customer reviews and investigations, assessing risk, gathering information, identifying potential concerns and making informed recommendations. You'll work across a variety of cases, including customers requiring enhanced due diligence, periodic reviews and higher-risk scenarios, helping ensure BOQ Group continues to maintain strong compliance and risk management practices. You'll collaborate closely with teams across Financial Crime, Compliance, Fraud, Business Banking and our branch network, while also engaging directly with customers occasionally when additional information is needed to support investigations. This is a highly case-management focused role where strong organisation, attention to detail and sound judgement are key to success. Joining the team means you'll be supported through a structured onboarding and training program designed to set you up for success. The role offers the opportunity to further develop your financial crime expertise while building valuable experience across a complex and evolving regulatory environment. **About you**You – our preferred candidate enjoys investigating, analysing information and connecting the dots to make informed decisions. You're naturally curious, have a strong eye for detail and enjoy working through complex problems while balancing customer outcomes, risk considerations and regulatory requirements. While direct ECDD experience would be highly regarded, we're also keen to hear from people with experience in AML, KYC, fraud investigations or financial crime operations environments. If you've previously managed investigations, alerts, customer reviews or case-based work, you'll bring many of the transferable skills needed to succeed in this role. You'll be comfortable communicating with both customers and stakeholders, building positive working relationships and managing multiple priorities at once. Most importantly, you'll bring a collaborative mindset, sound judgement and a genuine interest in helping protect our customers and the bank from financial crime risk. If you're looking to broaden your financial crime experience, develop specialist ECDD knowledge and join a supportive team that values learning and development, we'd love to hear from you!**About us**BOQ Group is a truly unique group of challenger brands with a purpose – to provide a genuine alternative to Australian financial services for customers and employees. Our family of brands (Bank of Queensland (BOQ), ME Bank, Virgin Money Australia, BOQ Specialist), each come with their own defined customer audience and brand personality, but share one goal – to build social capital through banking.
