Job summary

Animal Referral Hospital in Melbourne is seeking a dedicated veterinary nurse to advance in emergency and critical care. You will learn to manage complex cases such as DKA, MODS, and GDV, with patients supported by central lines, high-flow oxygen, ventilators, and feeding tubes using digital systems and Smartflow.

Requirements:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
• Applicants currently studying their Certificate IV will be considered
• Proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood sampling, and anaesthesia monitoring advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to animals and their owners
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
