Job summary

Animal Referral and Emergency Network in Brisbane seeks experienced Emergency and Critical Care nurses for part-time and casual shifts in a high-energy emergency department. You will deliver advanced nursing care, assist ECC veterinarians, and work across a rotating 24/7 roster with strong teamwork and a supportive leadership loop.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience.

• Able to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 rotating roster.
• Strong work ethic, efficiency and multitasking abilities.
• Experience delivering high-quality patient care under busy conditions.
• Familiarity with anaesthetic monitoring is advantageous.

Emergency and Critical Care Nurses (ECC) (Part time & Casual Opportunities)

As an Emergency and Critical Care nurse at ARH Brisbane, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality care within our emergency department. Working closely with our ECC veterinarians and specialists, you’ll be hands-on and deeply involved in providing advanced nursing support to a diverse range of emergency cases. You’ll be mentored and supported by both ECC Team Leader and Nursing Manager and welcomed into a close-knit team that prides itself on exceptional patient care, collaboration and fun banter! The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' clinical nursing experience
• Previous emergency, critical care, or referral hospital experience
• Availability to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 rotating roster
• A friendly, easy-going nature, capable of working both independently and as part of a team
• A strong work ethic, efficiency, and multitasking abilities
• Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality patient care under busy conditions
• Proficiency in anaesthetic monitoring and nursing critical and ventilated patients advantageous
• Familiarity with RX Works, Smartflow, and Idexx blood machines advantageous
