About the Opportunity

This role involves managing a portfolio of claims end-to-end, requiring strong stakeholder engagement. You should be comfortable providing updates and outcomes to stakeholders via phone.

While insurance/claims management experience is preferred, we are open to candidates from customer service, retail, or call-center backgrounds who are eager to learn insurance fundamentals on the job and aim to build a career in insurance.

NB: The internal position title is Internal Claims Adjuster, but similar titles include Claims Consultant, Claims Manager, Claims Handler, Claims Assessor.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in claims or general insurance (desirable).
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance terminology, practices, and conditions (desirable).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of claims from start to finish.
  • Support and advise policyholders during the claims process.
  • Review claim forms, policies, endorsements, instructions, and records to determine coverage.
  • Investigate claims through analysis, interviews, and evidence comparison.
  • Set and update loss reserves as needed.
  • Prepare reports summarizing findings and actions.
  • Settle claims based on liability assessment.
