About the opportunity:

Position: Mental Health Clinician (Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker, or Nurse)

Vacancy: Fixed-term, temporary full-time, 12 months with the possibility of extension, not exceeding 12 months

About the role:

As part of the Charters Towers Community Mental Health Services multi-disciplinary team, this role provides clinical assessment and treatment services to people presenting with complex and severe mental health problems, including alcohol and/or drug issues. The role offers exposure to case management and intake assessment across the lifespan, as well as delivering consultation services into emergency departments and hospitals in the area.

All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the service.

Enjoy a generous remuneration package valued up to $132,567 p.a., comprising:

  • Salary range: $3,030.00 to $4,453.50 per fortnight (HP3/NG6-1)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:
  • Mandatory qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or Nursing, with proof of registration/membership.
  • Class C driver's license.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role, requiring vaccinations for Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks including criminal history clearance and Blue Card checks.
