Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Alexandria, NSW, is seeking a Regional Safety Manager - Eastern Region to lead health and safety strategy across NSW construction projects and drive a proactive safety culture. Based in Alexandria with travel across NSW and overnight stays as required.

You will partner with senior leaders to develop governance, safety systems and national initiatives, while coaching leaders and frontline teams to improve performance and capability. A WHS qualification is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Work Health and Safety or related discipline.
• Experience leading incident investigations and organisational learning.
• Strong governance frameworks and risk management knowledge.
• Ability to influence leaders and coach safety teams across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for health and safety across the NSW Construction business, driving a proactive safety culture and supporting operational excellence.
• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety systems, standards, programs, and initiatives across the region and embed effective controls across the project portfolio.
• Partner with operational leaders to strengthen critical risk management.
• Use performance insights and emerging trends to identify priorities and drive targeted improvement.
• Lead incident investigations, and organisational learning initiatives to prevent recurrence and strengthen safety performance.
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, company standards and industry best practice through effective governance, audit, and assurance activities.
• Coach, mentor and influence leaders, the safety team, and employees at all levels to enhance safety leadership capability, support risk management and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute, drive and embed national health and safety initiatives, campaigns, and systems.
