Job summary

Multicultural Consulting Services Pty Ltd seeks an Earthworks Area Manager for a regional rail delivery project in Cootamundra, NSW. You will lead engineers, supervisors and teams to deliver safe, on-time and on-budget earthworks across a multi-discipline programme.

You will manage rosters, oversee plans and progress, coordinate subcontractors and maintain commercial risk controls, with relocation or site accommodation support as applicable and a strong focus on safety and productivity.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management or related discipline.
• Experience with a major contractor in civil, earthworks, road or rail delivery.
• Knowledge of material processing, crushing, screening or blasting.
• Ability to lead roster-based remote works and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong programme, financial and stakeholder management; understanding of HSEQ systems.

• Direct engineers, supervisors and construction teams to deliver safe, quality works on time and within budget.
• Prepare construction plans and completion schedules and monitor progress against baseline targets.
• Improve construction methods, material processing and operational productivity.
• Coordinate subcontractors and build effective client, community and delivery relationships.

Our client is an established engineering, construction and operations business delivering transport, building, water and other infrastructure works across Australia. Its multidisciplinary teams support the development and operation of assets used by local communities.

The Opportunity

Lead bulk earthworks on a regional rail construction programme. The role uses a 2:1 DIDO roster with accommodation; relocation support may apply under the employer’s policy for a move within an hour of the project area.
