Job summary

face2face Recruitment is seeking a Python-focused Geospatial Data Scientist to contribute to Earth Observation research supporting Antarctic science. Qualifications

• Strong software development skills with Python
• Experience with Earth Observation, remote sensing or geospatial datasets
• Knowledge of image processing, classification and ML workflows
• Experience with optical imagery and/or SAR data
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and DevOps practices
• Proficiency with Pandas, NumPy, Xarray and geospatial data analysis tools

About the Role

Develop scalable Earth Observation data pipelines and cloud-based geospatial analytics solutions to transform satellite data into analysis-ready products, supporting scientific research and environmental monitoring across Antarctica.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance scalable Earth Observation data processing workflows

Build and maintain cloud-based geospatial analytics solutions

Process optical and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite datasets
