Job summary

Department of Customer Service in Tweed Heads/Cessnock offers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander School-Based Traineeships. You’ll gain paid work experience one day per week while completing a Certificate III in Business over two years.

Open to Year 10 students moving to Year 11 in 2027; no prior work experience required. Training includes mentors, buddies, and coordinators within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Currently in Year 10, moving into Year 11 in 2027.
• No previous work experience required.
• Willing to learn and adapt to NSW public service.

Responsibilities

• Help customers with general enquiries and answer basic questions.
• Assist customers to complete forms and paperwork.
• Provide information about the requirements needed to complete transactions.
• Learn to use Service NSW systems and customer service processes.
• Work alongside experienced team members and learn from their knowledge.
