St Peters Lutheran College Indooroopilly is seeking a caring Early Years Teacher Assistant to join the Primary Years team. Working with teachers across Years 1 and 2, you will help create a positive, well‑organised learning environment where every student can reach their potential.

This permanent part-time role (16 hours per week) commences January 2027 and involves classroom support, resource preparation and administrative tasks, with a focus on pastoral care and building strong relationships

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged students, ideally in an educational setting.
• Certificate in Education Support or similar qualification (desirable).
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team.
• Creativity and initiative in supporting teaching and learning activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning and Christian ethos.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Assisting classroom teachers with the preparation and organisation of learning resources.
• Helping maintain a safe, supportive and engaging classroom environment.
• Supporting students with organisation, routines and daily learning activities.
• Contributing to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students.
• Assisting with classroom administration and record keeping.
• Building positive relationships with students, staff and families.
• Participating in College events, meetings, professional learning and Chapel services.
