Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the new early phase Oncology Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital. You will deliver safe, compassionate care to patients, manage cancer symptoms, and support clinical trials within a collaborative team.

The role involves 38-hour weeks, acute care experience, and cytotoxic medication administration. NSW Health policies apply; immunisation and screening are required. Applications close 24 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse – Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Recent clinical experience in an acute care setting, with an interest in Medical Oncology and/or Haematology.
• Demonstrated competence in the delivery of cytotoxic medication.
• Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with patients and health-care teams.
• Care for patients with complex cancer needs and contribute to clinical trials and cancer care advancements.
• Provide information, manage symptoms and side effects, and offer emotional support to patients and families.
