Job summary

The Queen Elizabeth Centre Hastings is seeking a Family & Playroom Facilitator to support children from birth to under four years and their families. You will create a safe, therapeutic play space guided by our Model of Care to build parenting capacity and child development.

You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, delivering specialised early parenting support in a community setting and contributing to positive outcomes for families in Victoria.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education, Nursing, Children’s Services, Family Support or related discipline.
• Experience working with young children and families.
• Understanding of child development and the role of play.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate purposeful play to support children’s development across domains.
• Coach and support parents through modelling and education.
• Collaborate with families and staff to meet individual goals.
• Provide inclusive care that respects cultural safety.
