Job summary

Mother Teresa School in Canberra’s Gungahlin region seeks an Early Learning Centre teacher to deliver preschool education and prepare children for the transition to primary school. The role is a temporary appointment to cover leave or secondment, with a strong emphasis on inclusive, evidence-based teaching practices.

The successful applicant will hold WWVP clearance and TQI registration, plus a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification.

Qualifications

• ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance.
• ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.
• Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood or Early Childhood and Primary) or ACECQA approved qualifications.
• Accreditation in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide early childhood education to preschool children in a preschool setting and develop education programs for school readiness.
• Deliver education programs that prepare preschool children for school and support inclusive practices.
• This appointment is temporary to replace an employee on leave or secondment.
