Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III or higher in early childhood education and care.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care is highly regarded.
• Willingness to undertake further study towards a Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Support setup and preparation of materials and spaces for EYLF and QKLG.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social-emotional development.
• Deliver engaging activities promoting learning and play.
• Support literacy through storytelling, songs and games.
• Supervise groups and assist daily routines to foster independence.

All educators are expected to uphold our child safety standards, actively promote children’s rights, and contribute to a culture where safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.Key Responsibilities· Supporting the setup and preparation of materials, equipment and learning environments for children’s educational and recreational activities in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG).· Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children’s social and emotional development through responsive and developmentally appropriate interactions· Delivering engaging activities that promote learning, creativity and play, aligned with EYLF and QKLG principles.· Engaging children through storytelling, songs, games and imaginative play to support communication and early literacy development.· Supervising children during group and recreational activities to ensure their safety, inclusion and wellbeing.· Assisting with daily routines to promote independence, consistency and self-care skills.· Maintaining high standards of hygiene and supporting children to develop healthy habits and safe practices.· Building and maintaining positive relationships with children, families and colleagues to support a collaborative learning environment.· Documenting children’s learning and development and communicating progress with families.· Contributing to the implementation and ongoing review of the centre’s Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).· Supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the centre.Qualifications and Experience· Relevant qualifications in early childhood education and care or a closely related field, with at least an AQF Certificate III or higher.· Candidates holding a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or a related field, or those willing to undertake further study towards a Diploma, will be highly regarded.· In the absence of formal qualifications, relevant work experience in a similar role may be considered where appropriate· Current First Aid qualifications (CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis training) or ability to obtain.· Valid blue card (or ability to obtain one).· Demonstrated experience working within an early childhood setting.· Sound understanding of the EYLF and QKLG and its application in practice.· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.· Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.· Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.What we offer· Relocation assistance (conditions apply).· Housing assistance (conditions apply).· Weekends and Public Holidays are reserved for “you time”.· Paid CPR & First Aid courses and Working with Children Check.· Friendly and safe working environments.· Support and mentoring from our Educational Leader.· Ongoing paid professional development and learning opportunities.How to ApplyIf you are passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating positive learning experiences for young children, we would love to hear from you.
