Job summary

KKTC Education is seeking a Bathurst-based Trainer and Assessor to mentor and support self-funded trainees and apprentices across Early Childhood Education and Care. You will conduct on-the-job assessments within agreed timeframes, run study groups, and provide one-on-one consultations to help students complete units each month while monitoring progress in the student management system.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Early Childhood Education and Care and eligible to work with children.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates, and working with children checks.
• TAE qualification or equivalent for trainer and assessor roles.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach and care for trainees and apprentices in all training aspects.
• Perform on-the-job assessment within agreed timeframes and conduct study groups.
• Provide one-on-one consultations to students to support progress.
• Ensure students complete at least one unit per month and 80% meet monthly targets.
• Maintain student records and update the database weekly.
• Deliver training in accordance with KKTC policies and ASQA standards.
• Build rapport with Centre Managers, Educational Leaders and Supervisors.
• Report concerns or grievances to management and ensure timely submissions.
