Uniting Victoria and Tasmania – Thornbury VIC is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join the Clyde Street Thornbury Uniting Kindergarten. The role includes Educational Leader duties and begins Term 1, 2027, with Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays workdays.

You will join Uniting’s Early Learning directorate, a values-led team focused on safety, inclusion and quality in Melbourne’s early years. The role offers salary under the VECTEA pay scale plus super and a range of family-friendly

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent approved by ACEQA.
• Current VIT registration.
• Minimum two years' experience in early childhood education with Educational Leader responsibilities.

Your new role

We have a current vacancy for a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join the team at our Clyde Street Thornbury Uniting Kindergarten. This role also encompasses Educational Leader, and is due to commence at the start of Term 1 in 2027 with the working days being Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Your skills and experience

You’ll be right at home at Uniting if you're passionate about providing high-quality early learning experiences and share our belief that children's safety, wellbeing and development should always come first.

You’ll bring with you:

• A Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood or equivalent Approved Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority qualification).
• Current VIT registration.
• Current National Child Safety Training and any applicable state-based child safety training (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
• At least two years of experience gained in early childhood education, with experience as an Educational Leader.
• Strong organisation and planning skills, including a high attention to detail.
• Current National Child Safety Training and any applicable state-based Child Safety Training (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
