Overview

We\'re hiring: Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) at Discover and Learn Academy. We are expanding our team to support increasing enrolments and seek an enthusiastic and dedicated ECT to join our educators.

The Role

As our new ECT, you\'ll lead the School Readiness Program, ensuring it meets the standards of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF). You\'ll work closely with a supportive team to deliver a high-quality, inclusive educational experience that prepares children for lifelong learning.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences
  • Plan, document and evaluate educational programs aligned with EYLF & NQF
  • Collaborate with educators and contribute to QIP and policy reviews
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community
  • Maintain a safe, caring, and home-like environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding children\'s progress
  • Ensure compliance with all service policies and legislative requirements
What We\'re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you\'ll need:

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent recognised by ACECQA) 50% completion also considered
  • NESA Teacher Accreditation
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Up-to-date First Aid, Child Protection, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates
  • Knowledge and experience with EYLF, NQF, and child protection procedures
  • Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
