Job summary

Redlynch Daycare Centre is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to deliver an inclusive, play-based learning program within our kindergarten/prep room. You will support children to explore their environment, develop essential life skills and reach their potential in a safe, nurturing setting.

A Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), or active progress toward the qualification, with EYLF/QKLG knowledge, First Aid/CPR and Blue Card eligibility, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or actively working towards with at least 50% completion
• Knowledge of NQS, EYLF and QKLG
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Blue Card current or eligible
• Passion for early childhood education and child development
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Commitment to child safety and continuous improvement

About the role

As our Early Childhood Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering an engaging, inclusive and play-based learning program within our kindergarten/prep room. You will support children to explore their environment, develop essential life skills and reach their full potential in a safe, nurturing and positive setting.

Key responsibilities

Planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences

Supporting children's learning, development and school readiness

Creating opportunities for children to explore, discover and develop independence

Building positive, trusting relationships with children, families and the wider community

Promoting children's safety, wellbeing and inclusion at all times

Supporting the development of lifelong social and emotional skills

Implementing the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG)

Contributing to continuous improvement and the delivery of high-quality education and care

About you

A Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), or be actively working towards the qualification, having completed at least 50% of the course

Knowledge and experience in implementing the National Quality Standard (NQS), EYLF and QKLG

Current First Aid and CPR certifications

A current paid Blue Card, or eligibility to obtain one

A genuine passion for early childhood education and supporting children's development

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

A commitment to child safety, professional development and continuous improvement
