Early Learning Victoria (ELV), as part of the Department of Education, is leading the roll-out of 50 government-owned and operated early learning centres by 2032, with 18 currently operating. Our centres offer long day care, three and four-year-old kindergarten and pre-prep in accessible, play-based environments connected to local communities. ELV is approved for the Commonwealth’s Worker Retention Grant, which provides a 15% wage increase for eligible staff.

Demonstrated experience as an early childhood teacher, delivering high-quality, play-based educational programs
Extensive understanding of National Quality Framework, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and Child Safe Standards
Strong ability to lead, mentor and guide educational teams
Effective communication and relationship-building skills with staff, children, families and communities
Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent qualification and current VIT registration
First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications; completion of Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting online learning
Experience working with children and families experiencing vulnerability is desirable
Agreement to a police check; an international police check must be provided for candidates who have resided outside of Australia for 12+ months in the last 10 years
Food Handling Certificate and Safe Sleep Training are desirable
