Job summary

Simba Education Macquarie Park is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to design, implement and evaluate room-based educational programs aligned with NQF, EYLF and Reggio Emilia principles. You will plan intentional experiences both indoors and outdoors, observe and document progress, and ensure the health, safety and development of every child.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved bachelor's degree or higher in early childhood teaching.
• Child Safety certificate is mandatory.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training.
• Paid WWCC and Child Protection certificate.
• Safe Sleep & Food Safety.
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Minimum of 1+ years experience in early childhood education.
• Legal work rights in Australia required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and evaluate your room's Educational Program and Curriculum Intentions Plan.
• Plan and lead intentional, play-based experiences across indoor and outdoor environments.
• Observe, assess and document each child's learning and developmental progress.
• Safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of every child, and meet your Mandatory Reporter responsibilities.
• Create a warm, engaging and secure learning environment.
• Supervise children with care and attentiveness.
• Build genuine relationships with families, children and your team.
• Contribute ideas and help the service continue to grow.

You will be responsible for providing support to children and fellow Educators to ensure exceeding quality practices and compliance with the National Quality Standards (NQS).
