Job summary

Kids First Australia is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher for Parental Leave cover at Botanic Ridge Kindergarten in Melbourne, VIC. This part-time, fixed-term role (22.5 hours per week) runs until 17 December 2027, with a start in Term 1, 2027.

You will ensure programming aligns with the centre philosophy and Code of Conduct, organize indoor/outdoor spaces, support smooth transitions, and help implement the Kids First early years model. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-recognised Kindergarten Teacher qualification.
• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, CPR and Asthma training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure program adheres to centre philosophy and Code of Conduct.
• Organise indoor and outdoor environment and oversee safety/rotation of equipment.
• Ensure smooth, calm, and purposeful transition times.
• Support implementation of the Kids First early years model; full training provided.

Your new role:

• Ensuring the program adheres to the agreed centre philosophy as well as the Code of Conduct
• Organising the indoor and outdoor environment, including the safety and rotation of equipment
• Ensuring that transition times are smooth, calm and purposeful.
• Support the implementation of the Kids First early years model – full training provided

• Kindergarten Teacher qualification as recognised by ACECQA
