Job summary

Young Academics Early Learning Centre is seeking passionate Early Childhood Educators and Teachers to join our Schofields Railway Terrace team. You will create meaningful learning experiences aligned with the EYLF, NQS and our service philosophy, while maintaining a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where children thrive.

Depending on your qualification, you may provide pedagogical leadership, mentor colleagues, and help strengthen teaching practice across the service.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or working towards.
• ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification (Bachelor degree or equivalent).
• Current NSW NESA Teacher Accreditation for Early Childhood Teacher roles.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS and relevant regulations.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Current First Aid, CPR and National Mandatory Child Protection certificates.
• Current Food Handler Basics Training Certificate.
• Commitment to child safety, safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging educational programs aligned with EYLF and NQS.
• Observe and document children's learning and development, promoting wellbeing and agency.
• Maintain active supervision and safe, inclusive learning environments, proactively identifying and managing risks.
• Embed child safety, safeguarding and mandatory reporting into everyday practice.
• Build respectful relationships with children and positive partnerships with families.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and contribute to reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• For ECTs, provide pedagogical leadership and mentor educators to strengthen teaching practice.
