Job summary

ERM Australia is seeking recent graduates for the Early Career Environmental Consultant program in Sydney or Perth. You will kick start your career in the world’s largest pure-play environmental and sustainability consultancy, with exposure to large projects and a global technical network.

You will participate in onboarding, core consulting skills training, and hands-on fieldwork to collect environmental data, supporting contaminated land and sustainability initiatives for clients across markets.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related degree.
• Recent graduate to 2 years of experience or career changer.
• Willingness to undertake fieldwork at project sites and collect environmental data.
• Commitment to safety and health protocols.
• Ability to work in a consulting environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Australian Working Rights.

Some key attributes for success:

• Tertiary education in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related degree.
• Recent graduate to 2 years of experience or looking for a career change.
• Ability to commit to fieldwork programs that include visiting project sites to conduct field studies and collect environmental data and samples.
• Strong commitment to safety; ability to follow established health and safety protocols.
• Effective written and verbal communication; organizational and analytical skills; experience recording, inputting and managing technical data and preparing reports.
• Understanding of / experience working with data management software / databases would be beneficial.
• Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to succeed in a consulting environment, simultaneously handling multiple project assignments and meeting strict deadlines.
• Dependable, with integrity, respect, positive outlook, and customer focus and the ability to work as a team player.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
