Job summary

Marine & Civil Maintenance (MCM) is seeking a Graduate or Early Career Technical Engineer to join its Sydney-based team. The role blends office-based engineering with hands-on site investigations of civil and marine infrastructure across Australia and the Pacific.

You will work with experienced engineers, gaining practical exposure to structural investigations, concrete durability and corrosion with mentoring and specialist training.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, civil or materials.
• 1–3 years' engineering experience encouraged.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Interest in structural engineering, materials, corrosion.
• Hands-on, practical approach and willingness to learn.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to travel for site investigations.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical investigations and assessments of civil and marine structures.
• Conduct hands-on site inspections and testing.
• Prepare and review technical reports and drawings.
• Assist with engineering calculations and design work.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to deliver projects.
• Support compliance, R&D and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel to project sites across Australia and the Pacific.
