A Private Wealth Assistant provides administrative support to a team of advisers and acts as a central point of contact for all client queries. As an Assistant, you will perform administrative duties to develop and enhance client relationships through active communication to ensure key information is gathered and documentation remains current. You will be required to work closely with Advisers, other support staff, as well as Branch Managers daily.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Client Support: Act as the first point of contact; handle inquiries via phone, email, and in person; develop client relationships; ensure timely and accurate information delivery.
  2. Client Correspondence: Manage the creation, distribution, and follow-up of correspondence; maintain accurate client records; uphold the company's image in all communications.
  3. Adviser Support: Assist Private Wealth Advisers with daily trades; manage client meetings and follow up on trades; maintain awareness of banking and share registry processes.
  4. Industry Awareness: Stay informed about financial markets, ASX regulations, and investment products; learn back-office processes.
  5. Portfolio Management: Update and maintain client portfolios; process investment applications; prepare and send relevant client reports; facilitate settlements.
  6. Information Handling: Manage and distribute documentation, mail, and correspondence for advisers; ensure proper record-keeping and document handling.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • Degree in Business/Finance/Commerce (preferable)
  • Database maintenance
  • Microsoft application knowledge (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Kaplan Professional diploma or equivalent course (advantageous)
  • Options ADA1/ADA 2 (advantageous)
  • Experience in the Financial Service industry (advantageous)
