Overview:

  • Full Time, Ongoing contract

  • Salary level HEW 8 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements

  • Based on the Melbourne CBD campus, however, may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.

About You

The Senior Data Analyst holds a vital position in shaping the College’s future by delivering transformative planning advice and insightful data that drive our strategic and business initiatives. Focused on student enrollment, pricing strategies, program viability, and product lifecycle management, this role is central to our mission.

As an essential member of the College planning team, the analyst skillfully coordinates the preparation of our annual profile submission while enhancing initiatives that elevate our profile management and selection planning processes. This position empowers the planning function by providing clear, insightful data and thoughtful advice on every facet of profile planning and performance. By engaging diverse stakeholders, the analyst ensures our decisions are grounded in evidence and best practices, propelling the College toward a brighter future.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Experience in data models, data collection, data extraction, data matching, analysis and reconciliation.

  • Experience working on large scale, complex data projects, with the ability to work under pressure, autonomously and in ambiguous environments.

  • Proven record for taking the initiative and skilled problem-solving capabilities.

  • Strong knowledge and experience working with reporting packages and databases.

  • Organisational skills including contribution to the development of processes in a planning and analysis area.

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to work as an active member of a team.

  • Knowledge of strategic and corporate planning approaches and techniques, including benchmarking and the development and calculation of performance indicators, and the nature and scope of data needed to drive such measures.

  • High level of communication skills including an ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the group and University.

  • A strong focus on attention to detail while ensuring operational needs meet strategic objectives.

  • Ability to move data from operational reporting through to strategic insights.

Relevant tertiary qualification and substantial relevant experience
