Mercure Perth & Ibis Perth are centrally located in the heart of Perth city, close to major shopping, entertainment, and nightlife areas. Our hotels offer a combined 431 rooms (Our Ibis Hotel has just completed a major refurbishment).

Job Description

As the Cluster Reservations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the reservations team to ensure exceptional service delivery and optimize occupancy rates. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing reservations operations, including booking processes, group reservations, and room allocation
  • Ensuring guest inquiries and bookings are handled efficiently and courteously
  • Analysing occupancy trends and collaborating with revenue management to maximize room revenue
  • Training, mentoring, and managing the reservations team to achieve performance goals
  • Liaising with front office and sales departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Assisting with VIP and special request arrangements
  • Maintaining accurate records of guest preferences and booking details
  • Prospecting and converting group leads for the business and ensuring group room night budgets are met
  • Increase conversion on group leads and business base for the hotels

You will demonstrate a proactive approach to service and an ability to foster an engaging and positive team environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, along with:

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS) a strong working knowledge of Opera Cloud is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • A customer-focused mindset with a passion for providing memorable guest experiences
