About the Role

As a Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist at The Swan Centre South West, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological care to individuals experiencing eating disorders and related mental health challenges.

Working as part of an established multidisciplinary team, you will provide individual therapy within a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and person-centred framework, supporting clients across various stages of recovery. You’ll collaborate closely with internal team members including psychiatrists, dietitians, and paediatricians, as well as external care providers such as GPs and referrers, to ensure integrated, wrap-around support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and risk reviews
  • Developing and delivering individualised treatment plans aligned with best-practice guidelines
  • Engaging in collaborative care planning with the broader clinical team
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with professional and ethical standards
  • Participating in weekly clinical meetings and case discussions
  • Receiving regular internal clinical supervision and engaging in ongoing professional development

What we’re looking for:

  • Full AHPRA registration (Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist)
  • Experience or interest in eating disorders and related mental health concerns
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and neuro-affirming approaches
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing development

This role is ideally suited to clinicians with a strong interest in eating disorders, trauma, and complex mental health presentations. While prior experience in eating disorder treatment is desirable, we welcome applications from early-career psychologists seeking to specialise in this rewarding field.
