About The Role

Are you ready to make a real impact in workplace safety while navigating the challenges of local government? We are seeking a skilled and resilient WHS professional to join our team. As one of our two Work Health and Safety Advisors at the City of Hobart, you will play a critical role in fostering a safe and compliant workplace. This role requires technical expertise in WHS policies, investigations, and risk management, along with the ability to work within structured processes and engage stakeholders at all levels to promote a positive safety culture. About You

You are a confident and adaptable WHS professional who thrives in complex environments. With a strong understanding of safety legislation and risk management, you focus on driving cultural change, influencing stakeholders, and implementing practical safety solutions. Your resilience and problem-solving skills help you navigate red tape effectively.

  • Diploma in Work Health and Safety or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and safety systems.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and audits (ICAM training desirable).
  • Ability to obtain necessary background checks.
