Job description

An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse to join the Ambulatory Care Centre (ACC) in the Dermatology portfolio. This advanced practice role supports outpatient care coordination, ensuring person-centred, evidence-based service delivery in line with the Specialist Outpatient Services Implementation Standard (SOSIS). Responsibilities include managing referrals, monitoring waitlists, coordinating minor procedures, and providing clinical oversight across multiple clinics. The successful candidate will contribute to quality improvement, patient flow, and cross-covering other specialties as needed.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Adhering to service quality standards, health and safety policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality, safe services and workplaces.
  2. Fulfilling role responsibilities in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Nurse Grade 6, Band 1, and Queensland Public Service values.
  3. Understanding responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participating in continuous improvement activities, and reporting concerns about safety.
  4. Practicing according to the code of ethics, professional standards, and legislation, maintaining current knowledge and competence.
  5. Providing clinical oversight and guidance to outpatient nursing and administrative staff.

Remuneration is up to $110,796 per annum, including salary rates of $54.44 - $58.30 per hour, employer superannuation contributions (up to 12.75%), and annual leave loading (17.5%). This is a part-time position (64 hours per fortnight). Applications remain current for 12 months. Only direct applications from candidates are accepted.
