Account Director - Medical Communications

A great opportunity has arisen for an Account Director with an interest in multichannel medical communications that are clinically relevant, drive behaviour change, and will ultimately improve patient outcomes across a range of therapy areas. This innovative agency works on highly interesting and bespoke pharmaceutical medical communications campaigns. You will be working on exciting projects with big pharmaceutical and biotech clients in a genuinely collaborative, friendly, and enthusiastic environment. The agency highly values its employees, promotes from within, offers flexible WFH and hours, and is located in a great area.

NB: You must be able to go into the office at least 2 days a week.

Your role as Account Director:
  1. Confidently explain everything from communications strategy to budgets to clients.
  2. Design and implement pharmaceutical marketing and communications campaigns and medical education programmes, ensuring your team delivers on time and within budget, demonstrating your managerial and leadership skills.
  3. Anticipate future revenue opportunities and understand the clients’ planning processes.
  4. Work with briefs and understand the brand strategy for prescription drugs.
Requirements:
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in medcomms within an agency setting. You could be an experienced Account Director seeking a new challenge or a senior account manager ready for the next step.
  • Willingness to work from the Buckinghamshire office a couple of times a week.
  • Passion for digital communications and medicine.
  • A scientific background, such as a life science degree, is essential.
