About the role

Zonca Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team in Rockhampton, QLD. This full-time role will involve hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

What you'll be doing

1. Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment
2. Carry out preventative maintenance inspections and services
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in refrigeration and air conditioning systems
4. Implement energy efficiency measures and upgrades
5. Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical advice
6. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and complies with relevant regulations and safety standards

What we're looking for

1. Formal qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, such as a Certificate III or IV
2. Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience as a Refrigeration Mechanic, preferably in a commercial or industrial environment
3. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and rectify faults
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
5. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly
6. A current driver's licence and your own transportation
7. Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality
