ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position on Dayshift 40hrs per week roster, DIDO from our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities

Reporting to the Vice President, the Manager Business Improvement will lead the development and execution of operational improvement strategies, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and enhance operational efficiency across multiple sites.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Collaborating with the Operations Leadership Team to define and implement clear improvement strategies.
  • Managing and coaching the Business Improvement team to drive successful project delivery.
  • Overseeing the development and management of the operations business plan in alignment with the South32 Business Planning process.
  • Acting as the primary interface and champion for the South32 Technical Function, ensuring integration into operations.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex improvement initiatives.
  • Utilising improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints to drive operational excellence.
  • Building strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Applying data analytics and business intelligence to inform decision-making and measure performance.

Qualifications for this position are:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Additional finance or commercial qualification is desirable
