Job description

• Base salary $140,000- $150,000 + $25K allowance + super + annual bonus

• FIFO from Townsville or salary sacrifice from other East Coast Centres

The Role

We are looking for a candidate to lead the planning and execution of shutdown work on a routine cycle.

  1. Overall responsibility to lead 17WK shutdowns to deliver business goals.
  2. Lead the development of scopes of work, ensuring rigorous processes are followed in the review and approval of 17WK shutdown scopes of work.
  3. Develop detailed preparation plans aligned to the Shutdown management framework. Track and report progress against target milestones.
  4. Development of the org structure and acquisition of resources to facilitate shutdown planning and execution.
  5. Plan and execute 17WK shutdown within a structured project controls framework, meeting Zero Harm, quality, schedule, and cost targets.
  6. Continuously improve shutdown processes and tools to achieve better outcomes year on year.
What you’ll bring
  • Trade or Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical
  • Experience working in chemical, mining, or heavy industry
  • Previous experience in maintenance planning, shutdown coordination, or project management
  • Experience with SAP, Primavera, or MS Project (desirable)

The Site

Northern Australian Operations consist of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities include ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation, and sulphuric acid plants, along with infrastructure, utilities, power generation, and housing to support the workforce.
